This vital program is dedicated to connecting our future workforce with employers actively seeking skilled labor, helping us keep young talent and essential skills right here in Wayne County.
By directly connecting local students with high-tech, high-paying career opportunities available right in our region, Manufacturing Day bridges the gap between education and local industry.
What to Expect for 2026:
300+ Area Students: We anticipate welcoming over 300 students from area schools, giving them the opportunity to dive into hands-on activities and witness cutting-edge advanced automation in action across factory floors.
Leading Local Manufacturers: Top companies across Wayne County will open their doors to showcase diverse, high-potential career paths—including excellent opportunities available immediately following graduation.
Regional Collaboration: Building on our growing regional appeal, we are proud to collaborate with educational institutions and career centers both within and surrounding Wayne County to strengthen our local job market.
Lasting Resources for Families: To ensure the conversation continues at home, the Chamber provides detailed manufacturer booklets to all participating students. Our resource guide will feature dedicated company Parent’s Nights and individual family tour contact details, helping parents and students explore these rewarding career paths together.
