Joanne Burtt
Co-Owner
Murr Printing & Graphics has been a trusted local business for more than 45 years, providing high-quality printing, graphic design, and marketing services to businesses and organizations throughout central Ohio. Established in 1980 by Joe Murr and his brother Bob Murr, the family-owned shop has built a reputation for friendly service, reliable printing, and creative solutions.
Today, the business is co-managed by sisters Joanne Burtt and Wendy Topp, who proudly carry on the legacy their father and uncle began. Supported by a team of 10 employees, Murr Printing & Graphics maintains a close-knit, family atmosphere that extends to both staff and customers.
In addition to its core printing services, the company helps businesses think strategically about how they present themselves, offering marketing support and promotional guidance rooted in consistency, focus, and repetition.
Giving back is also an important part of the company’s mission. Burtt and Topp value the ability to support local organizations and initiatives that serve the citizens of Wooster, and as longtime members of the Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce, Murr Printing & Graphics appreciates the Chamber’s role in strengthening the local business community.
This recognition came during a milestone year for the company and serves as a meaningful morale booster for the team. Burtt and Topp credit their long-term success to the continued guidance of their father, whose decades of industry knowledge remain just a phone call or email away, along with the loyalty of customers, many of whom they know by name.
Looking ahead, Murr Printing & Graphics plans to continue supporting local businesses while adapting their services to meet changing needs, remaining a dependable presence in the community they proudly call home.
“Our father grew up in Wooster and then raised us here as well. It’s nice to still be a part of a community that helped shape who we are,” shared the sisters.
The Small Business of the Year (15 Employees or Fewer) Award is presented annually to a small business for its longevity in the community, positive impact on the local economy, contributions to the community’s well being, their concern for the well being of its employees and support of the Chamber.
