Community Development Division
Mission: Promote retention, expansion and attraction
of business. Partner with other organizations having economic
development roles. Investigate and promote implementation
of techniques, methods and tools proven successful in developing,
encouraging and supporting economic growth.
•Define and pursue relationship with Ohio Department of Development,
Wayne Economic Development Council (WEDC), Northeast Ohio Trade
& Economic Consortium (NEOTEC), Fund for our Economic Future
and other appropriate organizations.
•Assist City of Wooster in the process for initiating and
enhancing business operations.
•Continue to support the findings of the Poggemeyer Study as conducted by the City of Wooster and encourage development of an economic development program and staffing plan.
•Assist public and private organizations in obtaining development
tools such as foreign trade zone status, port authority status,
incentives, abatements, etc.
Administrative/Finance
Division
Mission: Provide for efficient addressing of members' needs.
Monitor receipts and expenditures in order to satisfy approved budget.
Develop and foster relationship with administrations of other
public and private organizations. Gather and disseminate public
policy information impacting members' interests. Encourage
the development of leadership within member organizations.
Oversee volunteer Legislative Affairs, Leadership Wooster and Young Professionals Committees.

act as a vehicle for the dissemination of information from public policy leaders and sources to Chamber members.

Mission: To provide opportunities for young professionals (ages 20's & 30's) to network, socialize and expand their professional horizons.
